from the CD Rise Above by Candela"Vita Nuova"
Dante Alighieri is best known as the writer of The Divine Comedy, one of the great works of Western literature. One of his lesser known works is a collection of his early poetry entitled Vita Nuova. In describing his love for the figure Beatrice, Dante explores the idea of love as a spiritual quest. He concludes that the love of a man for a woman indeed does have spiritual parallels, and that man can be born anew.
